‘What a voice! I really enjoyed that show.
Lana Del Ray after attending a Davey Horne show at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut
22 year old, Davey Horne, has caused quite a stir since forming his solo project at the beginning of 2011. A handful of live dates, including a euphoric, sold out show at Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, exposed the Scottish live scene to Davey’s mesmerising and inimitable voice.
In an incredibly short space of time Davey has established himself as one of Scotland’s, freshest and most exciting talents. 2012 has seen Davey release his début EP to rave reviews and you can catch him playing at festivals across the UK this summer including T in The Park, Tramlines, Solfest and Doune The Rabbit Hole.
‘Davey is in possession of an incredible, raw, bluesy voice. His backing band are note perfect’ Heather Crumley – The Fly
As well as an obvious love for music that has gone before, there is something resolutely youthful and invigorating about Davey’s song writing and he has even been paid the compliment of being compared to several Scottish song writers who came to light at young age including Gerry Rafferty, Roddy Frame and Edwyn Collins.
‘Horne is certainly no shrinking violet and seems a natural frontman in this impressive outfit’ Wickerman Review – The Skinny
‘Davey Horne is an extremely special talent’ David O’Hagan – Mercury A&R
