tenement trail be charlotteGLASGOW’S biggest party kicks off this weekend when Tenement Trail takes over the city, bringing over fifty acts around nine different venues. Having become a staple part of Scotland’s musical calendar, it’s a day that no music fan is going to want to miss.

With excitement for the event growing day by day, we caught up with one of our most highly anticipated acts who has been generating interest from all corners of the industry this year. Be Charlotte, fronted by the immensely talented Charlotte Brimner, are sure to draw in an impressive crowd when taking to the Art School stage at 7.30pm, preceding the likes of Crash Club and Pronto Mama.

With a tangible buzz growing around her with each output, it will be a good opportunity to see the pop starlet before she goes global; the singer is about to take her damn good vibes to South East Asia throughout October and November where she will no doubt win over a host of new fans.

In the run up to Trail, we caught up with her to see what she’s been listening to and what acts she reckons everyone should be checking out:

1.Pronto Mama – Rubber

This is my absolute fave Pronto Mama song, they are a band made up of the most talented people ever!!!! Cant wait to see them headlining The Art School at Tenement Trail, its gonna be some show.

2. Crash Club

Last year at Tenement Trail I sang with Crash Club at potentially the sweatiest gig I’ve ever been at, they are always the loveliest to chat to and who can ever resist a wee dance at a Crash Club gig?

3. Other Humans – Goths in Hot Weather

Such a catchy tune, another band that i can never resist to dance too. Every time i see these guys live theres always something new happening, cant wait for their Tenement Trail show!!

4. The Van T’s – Laguna

The Van T’s have the ability to make you smile instantly, we’ve played at a lot of the same events together but always seem to miss each other so I’m hoping to catch them at Tenement Trail this year.

5. The Vegan Leather – This House

A recent musical discovery and one that I am  loving. This track is sooooooo good and their live show is definitely all about the damn good vibes. Buzzing to see them again!

6. SHVLLOWS – Shake

I’m reaaaaally loving this song! Saw these guys for the first time at a gig recently and was totally blown away by the live show and music. Excited to see them again!!

7. Sinderins – Till the Walls Come Down

I’ve seen this band quite a few times and had the pleasure of supporting them last year, one of the most intriguing live shows ever. Love them!
