record store day studio party ttvhq crash clubCRASH CLUB’S set at Tenement Trail 2015 was mental. And so, it just wouldn’t be a party if they weren’t on this year’s bill. They turned Flat 0/1 into a celebration of a great day, as crowd surfers waved their way around the amped up crowd, it really was a highlight of last year’s festival.

Ahead of this year’s Tenement Trail on 8th October, we’re throwing an exclusive pre-party at one of our favourite venues Broadcast in Glasgow with Crash Club spinning the tunes (more bands from the TT16 line-up to be announced). Oh, and it’s free! Plus everyone who has bought or buys a ticket ahead of Saturday 24th September at 12:00 noon will be emailed an exclusive invite. Get your tickets here. And now, check out the tunes on Crash Club’s playlist below:

1. Soulwax – Nite Versions

“This is the kinda stuff you wanna be creating as a dance rock band, and Soulwax are teasing everyone just now on social media right now. So wrevisiting older albums hoping for new material to be released soon.

2. Justice – Safe and sound

First releases’ from Justice in 3 years. it’s great, not as dark as the older stuff, but still got some great funk and disco grooves.

3. Splashh – Pure Blue

“I just randomly came across this, the name caught my attention so gave it a listen and was very happy I did. Again, it’s all about the grooves, but more towards the chill out surf stuff, mixture of guitar and synths.”

4. Jagwar Ma – O B 1

“Anyone that know’s us will know we’re all massive fan’s of Jagwar Ma, so no surprise really that we’re all over the first single from the new album.”

5. Alex Newell, Nile Rodgers, Dj Cassidy and Jess Glynne – Kill the lights

“It’s the disco song from the TV show Vinyl and its fucking outstanding. I play it at every DJ set I do, if it doesn’t get you dancing theres something very very wrong.”

6. LCD Soundsystem

“Sammy only really discovered LCD recently actually so Aran, Colin and myself have basically been throwing records at him haha. (i’d pick, “All My Friends, Losing My Edge, US V THEM, and Dance yourself clean. for anyone that’s never listened.)”

7. Roosevelt – Roosevelt

“I seen this lot at Primavera this year at like 3am, outstanding, even did a cover of Womack and Womack “teardrops”.”

8. MSTRKRFT – OPERATOR

“Late comer to this, it’s the guys from DFA 1979’s alter ego’s. heard Runaway and that was me hooked.”

9.Tame Impala – Currents

“What an album it is. All 3 albums are great, but OFFFT ‘The less i know that better’ is just out of this world, Kevin Parker can’t do anything wrong just now.”

10. Fat White Family – Songs for our mothers

“Went and seen them when they came to the Garage this year. From the second song in, the singer was constantly trying to break free from his Y fronts. But apart from that, show and crowd wise it was aggressive and wild. Two really good album’s so far as well.”
