HAVING released their phenomenally fun debut album earlier this year, the Australian indie-dance collective are ready to take their first steps onto a Scottish stage at this year’s TRNSMT Festival.

“Our first time playing here. Interested to see what the standard Scottish dance moves are.”

It has been a little over a year since the Confidence Man party first touched down in the UK, with the Australian outfit setting the indie scene alight, providing a much-needed dose of fun at last year’s Great Escape festival.

“Great Escape last year was insane! All those shows were crazy. Really unexpected, too, because they were our first shows in the UK.”

Despite wowing audiences across the world over the last year or so, Confidence Man are yet to grace Scotland with their presence, but they aren’t feeling the pressure, instead they are more concerned with the culinary delights the country has to offer.

“I’ve heard that Glasgow does deep fried Mars Bars. Gonna try to smuggle some back home with me to Australia. Also, Sugar’s granny lives half an hour outside of Glasgow, so probably her apple pie too.”

Confidence Man are just one of the amazing acts set to decend upon Glasgow Green for this year’s TRNSMT Festival, and they themselves have got their eyes on some of the biggest names at the festival.

“The Killers. There’s nothing like an early 00’s throwback when you’re deep in party land, and The Man is a banger.”

Catch Confidence Man take to the King Tut’s Powered by Utilita Stage on Sunday 1st July. Tickets are on-sale now.
