“We had a blast, and we can’t wait for TRNSMT part two.”

TRNSMT veterans Anteros return to the festival for the second time, with a debut album on the horizon and another huge summer of festivals ready to kick off with another stellar performance to follow last year’s success.

“It was great! Aside from the rain (fingers crossed for this year). We were a little worried before the set, as it was our first festival in Scotland and clashes with other bands, etc. but the tent was rammed and the crowd knew the songs”

TRNSMT is not the only Scottish appearance that Anteros have made, enjoying a string of performances in Scotland, including at Tenement Trail 2017, and their love for the crowd here continues to grow.

“We’ve loved every visit so far. The crowd is warm and knows how to party.”

Their appearance at Glasgow Green is not their only festival show this summer, with an insanely busy schedule taking shape for the summer, and they feel the appeal of festivals is something that stretches the globe and from artist to artist.

“What’s not to like? We enjoy playing live a lot. Festivals are fun because you run into friends in other bands, it kids of feels like you are part of a travelling circus, or home away from home.”

With 2018 marking the year of celebrating women, Anteros’ frontwoman Laura has found herself becoming a leading figure in the music industry and a constant inspiration to aspiring female musicians, like some of the most legendary women from music such as Debbie Harry.

“There are so many strong, incredible women to look up to. I try not to take reviews or comparisons too seriously. If you believe the good, then you believe the bad too. I like to believe in what feels good to me. It is a great time for women, and so good to see that more and more women are breaking away from the stereotype and giving the industry a run for their money.”

As one of the most exciting artists in the scene, the hype around incoming news regarding Anteros’ highly-anticipated debut album is huge, but the band aren’t giving too much away.

“We’ve been busy in the studio. That’s all we can say for now…”
