AHEAD of their return to the TENEMENT TRAIL stage, Vida chatted to us about their future for the year, their earliest TRAIL memory and their must-see band.

“Our first memory would be when we played the festival a few years back , It was a busy early slot in broadcast and the crowds were right up for the festival! We can’t wait for TRAIL this year! It’s a great festival for Scottish music and emerging bands and there’s plenty class acts on the bill”

For the first time, TENEMENT TRAIL will move to Glasgow’s East End, taking over a whole new bunch of venues including the iconic Barrowlands.

“We were massive fans of the O2 when it was still rocking but there’s not many venues that rival the likes of the Barras and St Lukes in Glasgow so we can’t wait for the move east!”

Vida dropped their latest single, ‘When The Sun’ in August of this year, that latest announcement in a year of plans ahead of 2020.

“The songs went down a treat! We love playing it stripped back live, everyone gets right into it and you can hear the words over the music which is always class to hear. We’ve got some big things in the pipeline for next year but in the meantime expect a few announcements coming up for the end of 2019.”

For those catching Vida for the first time, Nate offered an insight into what fans can expect.

“Expect melodic bangers and  a lot of jiving down the front! We feed of the crowd so we can’t wait to see all the people going for it.”

As for the band the band are buzzing to catch…

“Top of the list is WEB – Kieren Webster’s new project, we’re good mates with Webby and caught his first gig at St Lukes All Dayer – they blew us away so we’ll definitely be catching the boys again, and we’d advise everyone to do the same ”
