The 1975 Summer SessionsGLASGOW Summer Sessions 2019 just got even bigger, as they today announced that The 1975 will head to Bellahouston Park next summer alongside Twin Atlantic, You Me At Six and more.

In the wake of announcing two mammoth headliners in The Cure and Foo Fighters, Summer Sessions 2019 have added one of the biggest and most exciting bands in the UK, The 1975. With five years of chart-topping records and sold out shows, Matt Healy and co. will bring the live show that has shook stages across the world to Glasgow on August 25th 2019.

They will be joined by Glaswegian rockers Twin Atlantic, returning to Bellahouston Park for another Summer Sessions set. As the music scene waits patiently for the follow-up to their critically acclaimed record ‘GLA’, the now-iconic Scottish favourites will treat fans to a hit-filled set that charts their seemingly unstoppable rise from underground bars to the biggest stages around. Sam McTrusty said they are “Looking forward to playing new music in our home city next summer with our friends, The 1975.”

You Me At Six are also getting in on the action next August, bringing their unbelievable stadium rock sound to Glasgow. The boys are no strangers to the big stage, with a number of top 5 albums and taking to the stage of some of the most iconic venues in the UK, including Alexandra Palace, Wembley Arena and The o2. Frontman Josh Franceschi said “Playing Scotland is always a highlight for us. The lineup is dope and it’s great to be a part of it.”

Pale Waves, The 1975’s pop prodigies are joining their label-mates at Bellahouston Park, after wowing the Glasgow crowd at TRNSMT and SWG3 earlier this year. “We’re really excited to be playing Glasgow Summer Sessions. The Scottish crowds have always been amazing to us so it’s going to be brilliant to be back!”. Also joining the lineup is singer-songwriter Ten Tonnes, bringing his unique sound to Glasgow, something which has caught the eye of Stereophonics, Tom Grennan and Huw Stephens. No Rome complete the day’s lineup, and after collaborating with Matty Healy on their latest single, something very special could be on the cards.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 20th November at 9am.
