GENTLEMEN of the Road Stopover Festival have revealed the first acts to play this year’s event in Aviemore including Primal Scream, The Maccabees and Honeyblood.
The festival will be headlined by Mumford & Sons and will also see big names like Ben Howard play the Highlands event on 31st July-1st August 2015.
Since 2012 Gentlemen of the Road have moved their Stopovers around towns and cities the world over with the mantra of bringing an experience to each town. The spirit of he project is a music festival that celebrates local people, food and culture. Everyone pitches in to the event and gets something back.
The festival has visited some incredible places along the way, festival organisers said: “We’ve met some amazing people, and it’s the efforts of those people that make us want to do it all over again. Creating the venues, curating the lineups, and getting to know the local people and their town or city is something we’re very proud to be a part of. We look forward to see you on the road again and making some more new friends.”
Other Stopover events in 2015 include Seaside Heights in June that will see names including Alabama Shakes and The Flaming Lips play the event. For more information visit the festival’s website.
