who’s who of music royalty including The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan are in the midst of talks to perform at a major concert later this year.

In addition to the aforementioned stars, it is also expected that The Who, Neil Young and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters will perform at the once in a lifetime event.

Organised by Goldenvoice; the same promotional company behind the revered Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the show is scheduled to be held at The Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

As reported by The LA Times, initial plans for the show would see The Stones and Dylan performing on the 7th October, followed by Young and McCartney on the 8th before The Who and Waters would bring proceedings to a close on the 9th.

Neil Young’s longtime manager Elliot Roberts has said of the event: “You won’t get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It’s a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time.”

It is expected that an official announcement will be made in the coming weeks.
