THE legendary David Bowie has died at the age of 69 after a hard fought 18 month battle with cancer.
Having marked his 69th birthday on Friday with a brand new album and displaying no signs of slowing down, fans have been left shocked after the news surfaced that the iconic musician passed away today sorrounded by his loving family.
A man whose left an indelible imprint upon not only the music world but on culture at large, tributes to the man that inspired many to boldly journey into various creative fields have been coming in thick and fast.
Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kaprono’s left the simple “David” on Twitter, Haim proclaimed that they’d “forever be inspired” by him whilst Kanye West left a lengthy and heartfelt message, stating:
” David Bowie was one of my most important inspirations, so fearless, so creative, he gave us magic for a lifetime.”
