TWO of Scotland’s best up and coming bands have been longlisted for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent competition.

Domiciles and Declan Welsh & the Decadent West have been announced among a list of 120 acts set to battle it out to appear at the UK’s biggest and most famous music festival.

Supported by PRS for Music and the PRS for Music Foundation, the free contest has previously awarded the likes of She Drew The Gun, Declan McKenna and The Subways.

Picked by a judging panel made up of 40 music tastemakers and industry musos, the list will soon be whittled down to 8 acts who will compete at April’s live finals for a slot on one of the main stages at this year’s festival. The winners of the competition will also be awarded a £5,000 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Development prize to help take their songwriting and performing to the next level while the two runners-up will each be awarded £2,500.
