 festival Electric Fields has revealed the first wave of this  acts for this year’s line-up including Primal Scream, Everything Everything, Model Aereoplanes and much more.

Situated at the idyllic sorroundings of Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway, Electric Fields has expanded to a two-day event packed with some of the finest musical talent from the UK and beyond.

Set to return with their hotly anticipated new album Chaosmosis in a matter of months, Primal Scream’s headline set is sure to be brimming with festival anthems from throughout their storied time in the limelight and will see them introduce their latest outing to fans from all over the country.

Other notable additions to the bill include Dundee’s latest exports Model Aeroplanes, London based experimental outfit Public Service Broadcasting and; fresh from supporting indie icons The Cure on their massive world tour, Scotland’s very own The Twilight Sad.

There’s much more to Electric Fields than guitar bands however, with huge dance artists such as Joy Orbison and Erol Alkan also taking pride of place on the bill.

The Tim Burgess curated ‘Tim Peaks’ stage will also be on site and is sure to bring a plethora of intimate sets and suprise guests to the festival. With prominent British actor Paddy Considine’s Riding The Low already revealed, there’s sure to be many more enticing acts revealed in the near future.

Electric Fields co-founder Nick Roberts has said of the event:

“We’re incredibly excited to bring Primal Scream to Electric Fields this August. They have created some of the greatest music these islands have produced and are right at the top of their game. The rest of the line-up compliments the whole nature of the festival brilliantly and we’re delighted to have this legendary band spearheading it for us. With our new two-day format, we’re able to bring even more incredible acts to the beautiful estate at Drumlanrig Castle and we can’t wait to welcome everyone come August.”

Electric Fields will take place between the 26th-27th August and a very limited number of early bird tickets will be available from 12 00 on Friday 5th February (tomorrow).
