Prince "Welcome 2 Europe" Tour - CopenhagenIN yet another busy week for festival announcements, here’s an overview of all the latest and most exciting announcements which may affect your destination decision making in regards to which fields or cities to adjourn to this summer.

screen-shot-2015-01-10-at-9-52-52-amPerhaps the biggest announcement which the public were made privy to this week was the announcement of  the vast majority of Reading And Leeds Festivals’ bill for the coming year. Announcing both festival season stalwarts and more unexpected performers in equal measure, acts include headliners The Libertines, Compton’s Kendrick Lamar, Django Django, American Football and Alvvays.

music_the_cribs_3  In news that has only came to light this very morning, Liverpool’s renowned Sound City has announced a plethora of acts complimenting what is already an excellent line up. Joining headliners such as The Vaccines, Belle and Sebastian and The Flaming Lips are a slew of artists of varying genres which are sure to attract many fans to the event.

The second wave of bands are as follows: The Cribs, Peace, Swans, Everything Everything, Fat White Family, George the Poet, Spector, Iceage, Stormzy, Bill Ryder-Jones, The Bohicas, Honeyblood, Aquilo, The Sundowners and The Tea Street Band.

mark-ronsonIn other domestic news, T In The Park has supplemented last week’s extensive announcement with many other attention grabbing bands. Joining the bill are  Admiral Fallow, Mark Ronson, Everything Everything, Marmozets, Jack Savoretti and Saint Raymond. Expect more to follow sporadically throughout the coming months.

jamietVenturing over toward sunnier climates, FIB Benicàssim Festival has continued to add a string of highly anticipated acts to its bill. Adding to its line up with bands including Jamie T, Mark Ronson,  Tenement TV ones to watch Hinds and The Kaiser Chiefs.
