Around 70,000 fans are due to attend Summer Sessions Festival in Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park this weekend, starting tonight with a headline show from The Cure (with Mogwai, The Twilight Sad + The Joy Formidable) and tomorrow’s sold-out headliner outing from Foo Fighters (with Slaves, Frank Carter + The Rattlesnakes, The Van T’s + Hot Milk), organisers have offered their top tips for fans to enjoy a safe event.
WEATHER
- It’s been raining a lot over the past two weeks, so fans are reminded that ground conditions are expected to be wet and possibly muddy
- The forecast over the weekend is to expect rain
WELLIE WEATHER
- Umbrellas are not permitted at outdoor events so fans are reminded to wear waterproof clothing
- Wellies and boots are the recommended footwear for fans attending The Cure and Foo Fighters over the weekend
- No folding or blow up chairs are permitted onsite
