GORILLAZ have released announced the upcoming release of their brand new album Humanz and unveiled four brand new tracks from their first LP in six years.
Eked out over the course of the day, yesterday saw Damon Albarn and co seize control of the music world with their new material and equally fascinating visuals.
Beginning with the Popcaan-assisted ‘Saturnz Barz’ and its accompanying video set in a hallucination-inducing haunted house, the coming hours would see the release of ‘Ascension’ featuring Vince Staples and ‘Andromeda’ featuing D.R.A.M.
Spanning everything from hip-hop to electro pop, their fully fledged assault on YouTube’s servers was brought to a conclusion with the emergence of ‘We Got The Power’ featuring not only Savages’ frontwoman Jehnny Beth but former Brit-pop adversary Noel Gallagher on backing vocals.
Humanz will be released on the 28th April.
