BRIGHTON’S The Great Escape Festival is set to play host to a pair of special Showcasing Scotland concerts.

Supported by Creative Scotland, the upcoming shows will highlight eight of the country’s finest artists that are making the pilgrimage to the UK’s mecca of new music over the course of the 18th-20th May.

Hosted by none other than BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway, the shows will features artists from varying genres and scenes including The Van T’s, Emme Woods, Spinning Coin, The Lafontaines, Be Charlotte, Shogun, TeenCanteen and Saint PHNX.

In addition to the showcases, Creative Scotland have collaborated with Born To Be Wide in order to host a special Scottish networking reception that will allow dignitaries and insiders from all over the world to interact with our fast-rising artists and industry figures.

Creative Scotland’s head of music Alan Morrison has stated that:

“Every May, the eyes and ears of the music industry turn towards Brighton, where the festival has become a fantastic springboard to launch emerging talent into European territories and beyond. The Scottish acts on the bill are at the top end of 2017’s ones-to-watch lists and cover an impressive range of styles and genres. This is a partnership that will deliver a tangible boost for music-making in Scotland.”
