FOLLOWING news that Help Musicians UK have officially opened their Fusion Fund to professional musicians around Scotland, the Scottish Music Centre will be hosting advice sessions for those musicians who are keen to apply.

Advice will come courtesy of David Culbert,Development Officer, and Ellie Moore, Creative Programme Officer, who will talk potential applicants through their ideas and offer general advice on making funding applications. Taking place on a weekly basis starting this Wednesday, the full rundown of sessions at the Scottish Music Centre in Glasgow can be seen below.

A brilliant opportunity for emerging artists all over the country, the Fusion Fund is designed to support the development of new music and creative ideas, while providing struggling musicians with a much needed career boost. Offering in the region of £2000-£5000, Help Musicians UK are looking for innovative artists who have shown good creative potential, entrepreneurial spirit and an impressive track record. The grant is available to cover all kinds of things from venue and rehearsal costs, to recording costs, to travel costs and much more.

Open to musicians of all genres and disciplines, the deadline for round one of the two stage application process is 12th October.
