SATURDAY’S The Stone Roses gig at Hampden Park may well have more significance in the band’s storied history than was first thought.

As the Manchester-based quartet raced towards what was the conclusion of the show and the last scheduled date of their current UK tour,  frontman Ian Brown made a comment that has left fans speculating about its meaning.

Addressing the capacity crowd of Scottish devotees directly, he stated ““Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy that it happened.”

Whilst the band may have aired long-awaited new tracks in the form of ‘Beautiful Thing’ and ‘All For One’ since reconvening, the band deciding to call things to a halt now would suggest that we’ll never get to hear that oft-discussed third album that they’ve been working on for numerous years.

No official statement has been made but TTV will be sure to update you on this story as it progresses.
