FOLLOWING speculation that The Stone Roses have once again gone their separate ways, reports have today emerged that frontman Ian Brown is currently working on new solo material.

The future of the Manchester band was placed in doubt over the weekend after the frontman told a capacity crowd at Hampden Park: “Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy that it happened”. The show marked the end of another massive UK tour for the legendary outfit.

Now, the Daily Star reports that Ian Brown is currently “recording new material for his first solo album since 2o09’s My Way” and that fans can expect to hear material soon.

The rumours appear to suggest that the band’s long awaited third album will never see the light of day. An official statement has yet to be released.
