SCOTTISH indie rock icons Idlewild have announced details of two special festive shows to mark the 15th anniversary of their breakthrough album The Remote Part.
Taking place on 19th and 20th December at the O2 ABC in Glasgow, the band will perform the album in full alongside an array of other hits from their illustrious twenty year career.
The Remote Part originally came out back in 2002 and immediately thrust them onto mainstream success by climbing to number 3 in the charts and going gold.Along with news of the live shows, the band have confirmed that they’re working on their eighth studio album and will finish it after the anniversary gigs in December. It will be their first since 2015’s Everything Ever Written.
Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday (20th October) at 9am while you can also sign up to the band’s mailing list in order to get priority access on Wednesday at 9am.
