JULIAN CASABLANCAS has introduced his new band The Voidz by launching new music in a video interview.
Posted on his official website, the video titled ‘Can I VHS You?’ features VHS vintage footage introducing his new band members and the story behind how they all came to play music together. It also shows footage of rehearsals, performances and snippets of new tracks.
In the revealing 8:05 clip, Casablancas talks of his love of punk rock and its raw energy. Talking of the new record, the band say its a protest record although they have tried to keep it universal and with soul.
The band also speak of current affairs and how things are sad with corruption being king. In recordings while driving, the band also discuss how they could subtitle the video, in Russian, with one member exclaiming: “That would be pretty rad actually!”
