KING TUT’S have teamed up with The Great Escape for a brand new live music showcase in 2020.

‘The Road to The Great Escape’ will come to the iconic Glasgow venue in the days leading up to the world-renowned festival for a two-day event spanning the 9th and 10th May. Up to 20 emerging artists from a vast array of genres will perform before they descend on Brighton for The Great Escape itself, which takes place from 13th-16th May 2020. ‘The Road to the Great Escape’ will also be hitting up Dublin in the days prior to the Brighton-based event.

Chris Loomes, a King Tut’s booker for DF Concerts said: “At King Tut’s, we’re really proud to be Scotland’s home of new music and couldn’t be more excited to be teaming up with The Great Escape to bring some of the world’s most exciting new artists to the venue. The Great Escape has an amazing track record of helping break the likes of Adele, Stormzy and Lewis Capaldi so we’re really excited about the future potential of our line-up of this year”

Rory Bett, CEO of MAMA Festivals added “Glasgow and Dublin are hotbeds for new music, and we are delighted to reflect this at The Road To The Great Escape. We are incredibly excited by the range of acts we’ve selected and can’t wait to share the line-up. This is one not to be missed!”

‘The Road to the Great Escape’ will bring some of the most exciting new and upcoming acts from all over the globe to King Tut’s, now one of the most famous grassroots venues in the UK. The full-line-up for the event will be announced in January 2020.

Taking place on 9th and 10th May, two-day tickets will be priced at £20 and will go on sale in the new year.
