LANA DEL REY has confirmed that she’s working on new project with The Last Shadow Puppets’ Miles Kane.
Following the release of her latest and typically atmospheric new single ‘Love’ last week, the Californian starlet made the unexpected revelation to Jo Whiley on her BBC RADIO 2 show.
Although she is in the midst of recording her first album since 2015’s Honeymoon, Del Rey has clarified that the fruits of their collaboration will not appear on the forthcoming LP and stated that they’ve been writing and ‘“working on something for fun.”
In terms of what to expect from her upcoming record, the famed singer/songwriter has declared that her new album will address many of the societal problems which we now see before us, claiming that “as the climate kept on getting more heated politically, I found lyrically everything was just directed towards that. So because of that, the sound just got really updated, and I felt like it was more wanting to talk to the younger side of the audience that I have. I guess it’s a little more socially aware. It’s kind of a global feeling.”
