LCD SOUNDSYSTEM returned last year in glorious fashion with a series of live shows and festival appearances that went down a storm with fans and critics alike. Since then, the New York outfit have been working on their eagerly awaited comeback album and it looks like there isn’t long to wait.
Having cancelled a number of live dates in Asia and Australia to work on the new LP, James Murphy and co. have given their first progress update in some time. Replying to a fan’s question on social media, Murphy wrote: “Still working on it, but it’ll be done soon. Winter tends to mess with my voice, so finishing the thing drags out.”
The new album will be the follow-up to 2010’s This Is Happening and has been tipped to be one of the most exciting releases of 2017. Having been announced when the band first confirmed their initial comeback, this latest update will no doubt stir excitement among fans who have been waiting patiently for its arrival.
