Created alongside Brooklyn based artist MICK, the mixtape sees his Stax and Motown indebted sound rejigged and placed in the mould of dirty south hip-hop.

Featuring reworkings of tracks such as ‘Smooth Sailing’, ‘Better Man’ and ‘Brown Skin Girl’, the mixtape incorporates verse from various important figures in southern rap such as UGK’s Bun B and Boss Hogg Outlawz figurehead Slim Thug among others

Speaking of the motivation behind creating the project, MICK has stated that:

“Leon Bridges is an underground king who made a classic album with a timeless sound. I wondered what would happen if I remix that with timeless classics from his home state of Texas? This is the result.”
