AFTER previously throwing the world off the scent with comments in a recent interview, Liam Gallagher has now signed a record deal for his upcoming solo album.

Having previously proclaimed that he wouldn’t be pursuing a solo career but had merely been making music with ‘two lads I know’, Liam has now sardonically responded to his contradictory remarks by taking to Twitter to declare ‘It’s official I’m a cunt.’

Inking a deal with Warner Brothers, the album is slated for a forthcoming release in 2017.

Speaking in reference to what can be expected from the album’s sound, it appears that Liam is stripping it back to the core elements of the genre we all know and love, describing the songs in the following quote:

“They’ve got flair, attitude, the melodies are sick and the words are fucking funny. We’ll record them this year and release it next year. It’ll shock people. It’s a record written by me, that’s got all the right ingredients and sounds well tasty. You won’t be scratching your chin. It’s not Pink Floyd and it ain’t Radiohead. It’s chin out music.

Liam Gallagher last released new music within the band Beady Eye back in 2013 and has been a vocal advocate of an Oasis reunion in tecent times, urging his brother and former bandmate to reform Oasis for the fans.
