pridesnew_732_489ORGANISERS of the Nordoff Robbins Scottish Music Awards have announced Prides and Fathers will perform at the upcoming event that supports Nordoff Robbins Scotland, taking place at the Old Fruit Market in Glasgow on Saturday 29th November 2014.

The ceremony takes place every year to celebrate the hugely diverse and internationally successful Scottish music industry. It also acts as the largest source of funding for Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland, which requires £600,000 a year to operate and is grounded in the belief that everyone, no matter how ill or disabled, can respond to music.

On the work of Nordoff Robbins, Prides singer/keyboardist Stewart Brock said “We went to visit Nordoff Robbins in London recently , and speaking to them about the work they do really affected us. As musicians, we’ve all been impacted by the power of music, and it’s amazing to see it in practice – it’s great to be able to get involved with the Scottish arm of the charity.”

Marc Strain from Fatherson commented on their upcoming performance at the Scottish Music Awards saying, “We’re really excited to be involved, this year has been a really big one for us and we’re all looking forward to rounding it off with our performance at the Scottish Music Awards.”
