PRIMAL SCREAM have been announced to support The Stone Roses at Hampden Park on Saturday 24th June.

Taking place in the Scream’s hometown of Glasgow, the gig will be a massive occasion for both bands as nearly 50,000 fans look set to descend on the national football stadium in the summer. Completing the line-up will be fellow Scotsman Steve Mason, formerly known as a member of The Beta Band.

Of course, it won’t be the first time that the two legendary outfits have played together; Primal Scream also supported the Manchester group when they played their massive comeback show at Glasgow Green in 2013. The Hampden gig, which was announced in September last year, will be the first time the Roses have played in the city since then. Following the release of ‘All For One’ and ‘Beautiful Thing’ in 2016, it still remains to be seen whether fans will be treated to new material before the big day.
