THE longlist for the Scottish Album Of The Year Award 2017 was unveiled last night at Glasgow’s 02 ABC.

Following performances from SAY Award alumni such as Admiral Fallow, Steve Mason and Mungo’s Hi-Fi, the 20 records that are eligible to pick up the top prize next month have now been made public knowledge and span a wide range of different genres and demographics.

Expertly selected from hundreds of albums that had previously been submitted for consideration, the Longlist is as follows:

This year’s SAY Award ceremony will take place at Paisley Town Hall on Wednesday 28th June with the eventual winner set to take home a grand prize of £20,000. Prior to the event, fans will have their chance to pick a winner when it is put to a public vote.
