scotland vote yes gig

A special ‘SCOTLAND Vote Yes’ gig is to feature performances from Mogwai, Frightened Rabbit and Franz Ferdinand.

Taking place in Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on 14th September these acts will also be joined by the likes of Eddi Reader and Elaine C Smith with more to be announced.

The special gig comes ahead of Scotland’s historic referendum vote when the country will decide whether Scotland will become independent from the UK. The ‘Yes’ and ‘Better Together’ campaigns fronted by Alex Salmond and Alistair Darling have been grabbing the headlines for months with the country finally given the opportunity to vote on the 18th September 2014.

You must register to vote, the deadline to do so is Tuesday 2nd September. Click here for more information.

Mogwai said: “In just a few weeks we will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to take our place on the global stage and show the world what we are made of.”

Frightened Rabbit added: “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity so I would urge everyone to get involved, register to vote before the deadline and come along and enjoy a brilliant night for Scotland.”

Tickets for the show will be priced at £15 and are currently available to buy through The Usher Hall’s official website.
