number of immensely talented Scottish artists have cracked the top 100 of the Salute Music Makers competition.

A revolutionary new initiative which looks to celebrate the best burgeoning musicians that are emanating from the British isles,  the eventual winner of the inaugural edition of this hotly contested will recieve an unprecedented top prize of £50,000 whilst all of those who have their music played via their app has the potential to make money from their material.

Selected from 1000’s of worthy applicants by an esteemed industry panel, voting on this year’s top 100 has now commenced and features homegrown talent such as Liam Doyle (who is presently in pole position), Lizabett Russo, Run Into The Night, Lisa Kowalski, Ives, Amy Duncan, Robbie Hutton and Rhona Macfarlane.

With all of the aforementioned artists predominatntly hailing from Glasgow and Edinburgh, the voting portion of this year’s competition runs until the 27th October with information on how to check out their tracks and have your say via their unique Facebook Messenger platform is available here.

A pioneer in his own right during his time with Northern Irish punk outfit The Undertones, Salute spokesperson Feargal Sharkey has stated:
