tbreakfribands800k-6THE acceptance period for entries to this year’s Tennent’s Lager T Break Stage is officially over and the judging process will begin shortly, one which will include heavyweight’s of the Scottish music world such as Aimmi Dunsmuir (manager of Twin Atlantic) and Louie of Avant-Garde Scottish Rap group Hector Bizerk.

Louie will know the experience of performing at T Break inside out as he was a past performer at T in the Park’s notorious stage.

Despite the fact that the judging process will be completely alien to him, the lyricist says he is relishing the opportunity: “I’m quite humbled to be invited to offer my opinions on T break’s next wave of emerging talent.”

He then went on to add that he thinks “Scotland is home to some of the most innovative and exciting music in the world” and who could argue with him when there is a such vast array of talent that are taking the world by storm  such as Young Fathers and Honeyblood; the latter being T Break alumni themselves.

With the stage entry officially closed it is now in the hands of Louie and the other judges to decide the fate of hundreds of hopeful bands and siphon them down to just 16, but it is a decision the public is awaiting eagerly and with excitement.
