PSYCHEDELIC rockers Temples have announced that their highly anticipated second album Volcano will be released on Friday 3rd March 2017.

Following their popular 2014 debut release Sun Structures, the four-piece cemented their position at the forefront of the modern psychedelic revival and they hope to build on its success with Volcano. James Bagshaw has discussed the differences between the albums: “If there’s a sense of scale, it was really just a result of implementing a load of things that we didn’t know about the first time around. We didn’t even have a subwoofer to listen back to things that we did on Sun Structures, so there was nothing below 50Hz on that record. We didn’t even know those frequencies were there”.

With the album’s announcement comes a new video for their recently released single ‘Certainty’. Appropriately in fitting with the vibrant, dreamlike qualities of the track, the colourful video has a strange and trippy effect and is inspired by J-pop videos. Upon the release of the video, the band have said: “watch us grapple with our ourselves while we succumb to the J-Pop nightmare of having everything you’ve always wanted!”
