SINGER-songwriter Scarlett Randle has been crowned winner of this year’s Tenement Trail competition, bagging her slot at Scotland’s celebration of new music.

Previous competition winners include wave-making Glasgow punks Rascalton and Edinburgh’s Cheap Teeth, both of which have enjoyed a seemingly unstoppable rise in their field, and now Scarlett is ready to join this impressive alumni with her immersive and heartfelt songwriting capturing the attention of all the judges.

Tenement TV were overwhelmed by the response to the competition, with a huge number of artists looking to grab their place on this year’s Tenement Trail lineup alongside The Cribs, Man of Moon, The Blinders, The Van T’s and many many more! The esteemed panel of judges that included Atlantic Records’ Chris McCourt, and Big Life Management’s Sam Denholm did have their work cut out for them, testament to the strength of emerging music right now.
