THE first trailer for ‘Miles Ahead’; the new biopic starring Don Cheadle as jazz icon Miles Davis, has been released.
Directed by and starring Cheadle (an actor whom the late musician’s nephew Vince Wilburn anointed as the perfect person to play the role way back in 2006), the film is set to focus on the singer’s tumultous life during the seventies in which he became reclusive and indulged in all manner of drug related hedonism.
Also set to star Scotland’s own Ewan McGregor as fictional Rolling Stone journalist Dave Braden, the story sees the writer and Davis embark on a quest to regain the studio tape which will re-affirm his genius.
Portraying the legendary musician behind records such as Bitches Brew and Kind Of Blue as a volatile and unstable figure, watch the film’s exhilarating trailer below:
