SINCE
the release of their acclaimed debut, Days Are Gone back in 2014, Haim have been touring relentlessly; reaching every corner of the globe and marking themselves out as a must-see at summer festivals.

A couple of months ago, the band teased new material in an Instagram video, telling fans: “We’ve just been in the studio so long, perfecting, and trying to get it right. At this point we just want to go out there and play the songs live.”

Last week in California’s Orange County, they did exactly that, debuting ‘Nothing’s Wrong’ and ‘Give Me Just A Little of Your Love’.

On the former, their 80s-inspired indie pop and perfect vocal harmonies build towards a jangly, classic rock ending. Comparisons to Fleetwood Mac have been widespread since their initial release, and are made perhaps stronger than ever with ‘Nothing’s Wrong’.

‘Give Me Just A Little of Your Love’, unlike anything else before, is led by a keys riff, yet remains firmly within their guitar-based pop remit. Perhaps less of a single than the other, it may not offer any distinct progression, but reiterates what we know Haim to be good at.

With their as yet untitled second album and accompanying shows promised this summer, both tracks give an exciting indication of what the Haim sisters have in store.
