A new clip from the forthcoming Joe Strummer-inspired film ‘London Town’ sees Jonathan Rhys Meyers portraying the legendary frontman in his late 70’s heyday.

Based around a premise of a young man whose life and outlook is completely altered by hearing The Clash for the first time, the new clip from the soon-to-be revealed film sees actors embodying Joe, Mick, Paul and Topper and tearing through anthemic rallying cry ‘Clash City Rockers.’

With Rhys Meyers delivering his best impression of the man lesser known as John Mellor whilst dressed in the band’s DIY garb of the time, it seeks to recapture the raw spirit of creativity which nestled in the heart of the city in the early days of punk rock.
