The band: London four-piece Childhood have certainly joined the race as a leading contender in the British psychedelic music scene. They are fresh from a tour with Interpol, and have revealed that their debut album will be out this August. Their new single ‘As I Am’ keeps the form of their previous track ‘Falls Away’, released back in May.
The sound: Prepare for bright, popping colours clouding your vision, as thoughts of hazy meadows and the summer sun come accompanying the new track ‘As I Am’ (listen below). The pounding drum beat is the only element that cuts through the dreamy vibe, with the whispered vocals keeping everything perfectly in line with the bands modus operandi.
The lowdown: Appearances at Reading and Leeds and Leefest are on the horizon for the band. Debut album Lacuna is out on the 11th August.
