The band: Liverpudlian four piece Circa Waves are the indie rock band that were born last year after guitarist Keiran Shuddall had grown out of yet another garage band. Their last single ‘So Long’ was released via Virgin EMI Records.
The sound: Featuring a low-fi vibe that is becoming signature to the band, the new track captures the youth and swagger of Circa Waves. With heart-pounding percussion and jaggly guitar riffs, ‘Fossils’ is full on summer swagger in November with its melodic, propulsive rock sound.
The video: For this video, Circa Waves have utilised the tried and tested tour diary format, including smatterings of live performance interspersed with a healthy dose of behind the scenes antics. The regular use of various filters and effects adds a retro aesthetic to the proceedings.
The lowdown: The new track ‘Fossils’ is available on 15th December 2015. The band will tour with The 1975 throughout January in Australia after a stint of UK show earlier this month. Click here for more information on tour dates.
