With millions of streams racked up against debut single ‘Don’t You Cry For Me’, the singer has followed up Spotify’s number one global viral hit with another emotionally resonant offering. Showing no need for oversaturated sounds or fanciful production, Cobi lets his guitar and soaring vocals do all the work; the song’s visceral lyrics delivered over stirring chord progressions.
The accompanying video is an appropriately intimate affair as the singer-songwriter performs the song in a dimly lit studio. Speaking about the track, Cobi said, “This song is about a prophet who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s often treated like a vagrant, an outcast from society.”
