AFTER breaking cover a couple of weeks ago at Skye Live Festival in the Scottish Hebrides, Django Django have officially confirmed their return with the announcement of a third album titled Marble Skies.

Slated for release on 26th January, the band have shared the news alongside the album’s very first single ‘Tic Tac Toe’; a fast-paced slice of trippy indie-rock which finds them in exhilarating form. Having spent years crafting a sound that is as formidably inventive as it is highly infectious, fans will be pleased to know that their ambitiously creative and experimental ways look set to continue in abundance on the new record; particularly if this latest offering is anything to go by.

Fizzing with a restless energy from start to finish, ‘Tic Tac Toe’ is a frenzied number which exudes a cosmic glow and trippy vibrancy. Propelled by erratic rhythms and a fierce rockabilly groove, it bursts with spacey synths, soaring harmonies and enormous pop-laden hooks; reminiscent of the band’s genre-defying Mercury Prize nominated debut from 2012.

A fascinating insight into the upcoming album, the song arrives with a striking video which follows frontman Vincent Neff on a day trip around Hastings; a trip which takes a turn for the surreal and sinister. Check it out below.

Meanwhile, you can see the band at the recently announced Alternative Peers’ Ball at Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms on 25th November.
