FORMING a unique and incredibly dynamic alliance after expressing a mutual interest in each other’s work, Fanshore & Tropic are a talented new duo making waves in the UK hip-hop scene. Taking Tyler Darrington’s (Fanshore) love for funky guitar lines, jazzy chords and rare samples and fusing it with Tristan Gibbs’ (Tropic) natural lyricism, the two artists displayed what can only be described as a highly unique and alchemic chemistry on their first collaborative piece ‘Sunlight’.
Building on that impressive introduction, the pair have joined forces once again for an irresistible new track called ‘Reaper’. Transporting you to sunnier climes with its chilled blend of crisp hip hop beats and jazzy flourishes, it’s a smooth, refined and intensely evocative track which depicts an outfit who are carefully carving their own niche in hip hop.
Oozing with vitality and authenticity, the duo are said to be working towards a debut EP in the summer.
