Previously showcased live on stage, the song was performed live at Abbey Road studios and recorded directly to vinyl, a process described by frontman Samuel Herring as “totally crazy and stressful”. Done in one take with no post production, the hypnotic groove bubbles over with drowsy synths and coiling arpeggiators with Herring wondering “is this love or love of the chase?”
