CURRENTLY touring the UK in support of his fourth album Dark Days + Canapes, Ghostpoet has unveiled a wistful and thought-provoking new video for ‘Woe is Meee’.

Directed by Savanah Setten, the clip depicts a senior citizen contemplating his existence before another night of partying. Surrounded by glamorous girl, his utmost desires are ultimately revealed at the end of the video. The director said: “Depicting the darker, emotional response I had to the track led me to build a world around an atypical senior citizen (played by John O’Brien) who at 70, finds himself in a society openly discussing gender neutrality, and chooses to address his deepest most insular struggles around sexuality and persona.”

The clip is very much in fitting with Ghospoet’s deep, brooding delivery and the lounge-lizard, bluesy grooves of the track which also features Massive Attack’s Daddy G on guest vocals. Check it out below.
