FOLLOWING a string of well-received single releases over the past couple of years, Golden Teacher are primed to unveil their debut album No Luscious Life on Friday 3rd November. Ahead of its arrival, the innovative outfit from Glasgow have given us another taste of what’s to come by way of ‘The Kazimier’; a shimmering left-field disco track that is sure to ramp up anticipation even further.

Described by the band as a “a sweet and low last dance upon the stage of Liverpool’s late, great Kazimier club”, the inventive track melds the worlds of dance and electronic music together in stirring fashion. Dark and melancholic yet infused with dub-indebted, funky beats, the haunting vocal exudes a sense of mystique over a dreamy backdrop of sparkling synth lines and rhythms.

Known for their high octane live shows and fast-paced, whirlwind fusion of house, funk, electo and Afrobeat, ‘The Kazimier’ takes a softer approach as they once again delve into new sonic territories. Undoubtedly one of the most intriguing outfits to emerge from Scotland’s underground music scene in some time, No Luscious Life is shaping up to be another stellar release from the Glasgow outfit as they continue to win acclaim for their unique and innovative creations.
