AFTER numerous years, we are finally on the precipice of a new album from Damon Albarn’s fiercely experimental outfit Gorillaz.
Never shying away from collaborating with the hottest new artists in any given genre, the band have resoundingly proven this with the tracks that have been unveiled in the lead up to the album; collaborating with everyone from pioneering MC’s such as Vince Staples and Vic Mensa to old Britpop nemesis Noel Gallagher.
Labelled as a bonus track, the fictional group have prefaced the album’s release on Friday with a new outing entitled ‘The Apprentice.’
Featuring breakout star Rag N Bone Man, RAY BLK and alternative hip-hop standout Zebra Katz, the track is a luscious, soulful affair that features incredible vocal performances from all involved.
Gorillaz’ new record Humanz will be released this Friday.
