ONE
of the UK’s most exciting prospects and the proud owners of an unmistakable sound to boot, Hidden Charms have built their name from the exhilarating fusion of traditional British rock ‘n’ roll and a notably progressive outlook.

Coaxing plaudits out of even the staunchest of 60’s revivalists for their re-interpretation of the R&B end of the spectrum that once housed bands such as The Yardbirds, The Move and more, the London based outfit have returned with the viscous psych rock of ‘Cannonball.’

Notable due to the fact that it sees the band sounding as though they’ve cast off the shackles of any pre-ordained tag that may have been attached to them, ‘Cannonball’ is a dizzying, gripping and irresistibly decadent track which recalls the more hard-edged side of bands such as 13th Floor Elevators and Vanilla Fudge.

With haunting backing vocals and a new-found affinity for cranking up the intensity to unforeseen levels, ‘Cannonball’ is aptly named in the sense that it obliterates any possible concerns that Hidden Charms are mere one trick ponies and points towards a glaringly prosperous future.
