IN the midst of another damp summer’s day, Madrid quartet Hinds are here to inject some sizzling Spanish sunshine into proceedings with the release of ‘Caribbean Moon’.

Originally released in 1973 by Kevin Ayers of Soft Machine, the band bring some of their trademark whimsicality and fun to the song with Carlotta Cosials and Ana Garcia Perrote sharing vocal duties over some playful rhythms and twanging guitars. It’s a fun-loving dose of sunshine which delivers some much needed vitality into the last remaining weeks of summer.

Hinds return to Scotland next week on 16th August to play Ednburgh’s Summerhall as part of the Fringe.
