IT’S been 18 years since we heard even the slightest hint of new music from The Jesus and Mary Chain but they’ve finally returned to the studio.
Debuted on Steve Lamacq’s Radio 6 Music show earlier today, ‘Amputation’ is the first track to be taken from East Kilbride group’s new record Damage And Joy.
Opening with the kind of squalling feedback that could only emanate from the speakers of one band, ‘Amputation’ maintains the starkness of their original material whilst injecting a healthy dose of 21st Century production.
Produced by Killing Joke’s Youth, the band’s new record will be released on the 24th March via Warner.
