The Band: Kagoule are a three piece from Nottingham who have recently signed to Earache Records. With an album in production the trio have released new track ‘Gush’ to give their growing fanbase a taster of what to expect on the LP.
The Sound: The song basks in its Post Grunge resonance as the drums introduce a clean guitar and consistent vocal melody, resembling works by The Meat Puppets. The band dynamic and the vocals adds to the track as it continues to build upon itself until it bursts into life with the chorus, an effective change in tonality and brilliantly contrasts the verse.
The Lowdown: The band are currently touring the UK with dates left to play in Brighton (13th Dec), London (20th) and Nottingham (21st).
